At Jam City, I was given the challenge of growing an organic page that had stagnated. How does one engage elder and new players alike in a game whose content updates are the very definition of “spoiler?”

The answer: meeting platforms where they are by leveraging algorithmic content preferences.

With franchise approval, I was able to greatly expand the content styles of the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery organic social, and move us towards trending content.

By pivoting the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery page to posting a minimum of two short form videos a week, we were able to close a nearly 90% year over year engagement gap, boost our organic impressions to over 15% of our audience on average, and provide increased traffic to in-game live events.

Best of all: this was done with 0 additional spend, leveraging in-house talent (yours truly) for game capture, editing, and optimized posting strategy.
